Second Graders in Ms. Beber's class use balls to practice keeping the steady beat while listening to "In the Hall of the Mountain King" from the "Peer Gynt Suite" by Edvard Grieg. Using the balls gives the children a physical way to explore the tempo changes, while the dynamic changes of the piece help strengthen listening skills.
Students in K-Doremus are learning to tie their own shoes by singing the song, "Can You Tie Your Own Shoes?" and then practicing on shoe templates complete with real shoe strings!
