First Grade Home

First Grade is a year of many firsts. In order to grow lifelong learners, First Graders will be engaged in a variety of activities and meaningful experiences. These include:

*Math problem solving and Number Talks

*Calendar time

*Reading, Writing & Phonics

*Science, Science Lab, Alice's Garden

*Social Studies

*Math 

*Character development

*Creative thinking

Through the workshop model, our students receive differentiated instruction as they work on a variety of tasks engaging them in the learning process. The daily integration of technology allows our students to grow as 21st-century learners and problem solvers. We look forward to sharing this exciting year of growth with students and parents!
