Meet Ms. Restrepo!

My name is Madeleine Restrepo and this is my 7th year teaching and 3rd year in our classroom. I am happy and thankful to be returning to second grade at Armstrong!

I graduated from Highland Park High School with the Class of 2011. I began studying education at the University of Arkansas and received a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education. I went on to pursue my Masters in Special Education from Vanderbilt University and graduated in 2016. My experiences in Nashville ranged from research projects regarding educational policy and transition age students with disabilities to serving as the president of Student Council for Exceptional Children. After my time at Vanderbilt, I spent the past two years in Nashville working in Early Childhood education and teaching 2nd grade.

I'm the middle of three sisters who are also my best friends and fellow Eagle alums. Outside of school, I enjoy being outside, cooking, and spending time with my family. I'm so thankful to be back in HPISD. The relationships and memories I made as a student at Armstrong are so meaningful to me and I can't wait to make new ones with all of you!
