All About Me

First grade is a year of many “firsts” and I am so excited and honored to be a part of your child’s educational journey. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Texas at Austin and I hold a Master’s degree in Education from Southern Methodist University. I have 15 years of experience teaching elementary school, including five years as a first grade teacher at Bradfield and I am now on my 4th year teaching first grade at Armstrong.

After being a stay-at-home mom for my four children, all of whom attended Armstrong, it is a privilege to be back at the Eagle’s Nest as a teacher! My husband Larry and I are the proud parents of Daisy, Hayden, Haley and Jackson. Daisy is in her third year at Texas Tech, our twins Haley and Hayden are incoming HPHS 10th graders and Jackson will be an 8th grader at HPMS. In my spare time, I like to play tennis, read, ski, cook for my family and spend time with my friends. But nothing makes me happier than being with my family, whether that means attending all my kids’ games and dance competitions, going on family vacations or lying on the couch watching movies together. I look forward to facilitating your child’s growth academically and emotionally. It will be a fun year full of learning!
