All About Me

First grade is a year of many “firsts” and I am so excited and honored to be a part of your child’s educational journey. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Texas at Austin and I hold a Master’s degree in Education from Southern Methodist University. I have 17 years of experience teaching elementary school, including five years as a first grade teacher at Bradfield. I am starting my 5th year teaching first grade at Armstrong.

My husband Larry and I are the proud parents of Daisy, Hayden, Haley and Jackson. Daisy is a senior at Texas Tech, our twins Haley and Hayden are HPHS 11th graders and Jackson is a freshman at HPHS.

In my spare time, I like to read, ski, cook for my family and spend time with my friends. But nothing makes me happier than being with my family, whether that means attending my kids’ games, going on family vacations or lying on the couch watching movies together.

I look forward to facilitating your child’s growth academically and emotionally. It will be a fun year full of learning!
