Construction Updates, January 22, 2018

Work continues on the classroom and office wing addition to Armstrong Elementary.  The contractor has been removing the front porch and grading the site in preparation for laying the foundation for the building addition.  Exterior demolition will conclude this week with some additional noise disruption during the day.  Foundation piers for the new building will be poured this week.

The temporary secure entrance to the building at the corner of Cornell and St Johns is operating smoothly, but we need everyone's help in remembering that this will be the only entrance and exit for visitors during the day.  Also, remember at drop off and pick up, students can enter the building at the Cornell/St Johns door, or by the cafeteria patio on St Johns, to wait in the cafeteria in the morning.  Because of limited parking and limited space in the building, it does help us if families drop off their students from the carpool lane, instead of parking on side streets and walking into the building.  If you do need to park and enter the building to meet with a teacher, please be careful not be block the driveways of our school neighbors or you may receive a parking ticket.
