About Ms. Bogdovitz

I am thrilled that my journey has brought me to Armstrong Elementary School! I moved around quite a bit growing up, spending most of my school years in the Midwest.  I attended high school in Aurora, IL and I earned a degree in Public Relations at Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI.

While working in this area, I wished that I had become a teacher. So, I enrolled in the post-baccalaureate teaching certification program at Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee. After I was a licensed teacher, I taught for several years in Elm Grove, Wisconsin.

I was very happy at my school in Wisconsin, but I had family in Dallas and wanted to be closer to them. In 2006, I moved to Dallas and taught for one year at St. Joseph Catholic School in Richardson. In August 2007, I began teaching on the second grade team at Armstrong and I've been here ever since!

As a teacher, I love getting to know each student and working to find a way to best reach him or her.  I firmly believe that the best way to improve any skill is to practice, practice, practice!  This helps our students develop their growth mindset and know that improvement takes work, but it's worth it!
I have family here in Dallas, and also in California, and northern New York state!  I love to travel and visit my friends and family.  My other hobbies include baking and knitting.
I'm looking forward to a great year!
