Texas Bluebonnet Award

The Texas Bluebonnet Award is an award that is given to one book per year by students across the state of Texas. Students in 3rd-6th grade who read 5 titles from the Texas Bluebonnet Nominee List are eligible to vote for their favorite book in January. The book with the most votes becomes the Texas Bluebonnet Award winner.

Armstrong 3rd and 4th-grade students are introduced to the Texas Bluebonnet Nominees at the beginning of each school year. Students have until mid-January to read 5 titles. Picture books, chapter books, non-fiction, poetry, and biography books are included on the list.

Students who read 5 will vote. Voting is conducted online and in person.
