Week 23: February 6-10

See below the many great things happening in TAG.
2nd grade:
Math:  Geometry unit: Solid figures
Explorations:  Students brainstormed a list of the things in the world they are most curious about. Then they narrowed it down to one topic that they will do a thorough curiosity research project on. They are excited to become experts on a topic of great wonder!
3rd grade:
Math:  Geometry unit continued: angles, types of quadrilaterals and triangles
Explorations: This week in our toys unit, students started researching the top toys of the decades. We are curious to see how the popularity of certain toys has changed over the years.
4th grade:
Math: Measurement: Converting units within the customary system
Explorations: This week in our robotics unit, students learned about the expansive terminology of the robotics world.
Congratulations to all of the 3rd and 4th graders that participated in the 2017 Armstrong Science Fair! I'm always impressed by the many different experiments and investigations.
