Week 12: November 7-11
We had another fun week in TAG!
Here's what we did in class this week:
Math:Started multiplication unit. Students investigated the meaning of multiplication and how it helps you add large groups of numbers.
Explorations: Students learned about the Pulitzer Prize winning cartoonist, Rube Goldberg, who is best known for his zany invention cartoons. They started brainstorming their own zany invention that will help them complete the challenge of "snuffing a candle."
Math: Continued multiplication strategies with whole numbers
Explorations: Students continued researching their heart topic of choice for our upcoming heart fair. More details to come later.
Math: Division with decimals
Explorations: Now that students are experts of the enigma they researched, they are producing a short news broadcast about their enigma. They will film in Armstrong's green screen room when their script is complete.
